On My Shelf: And This is Laura

I recently found this old favorite, one of many books I've read and reread from childhood. Not a classic, exactly. Just a really relatable story about a 12-year-old girl who wants to be more than average, by the amazing Ellen Conford.

I'm glad to have at least one book of hers on my shelf, reminding me of many others she wrote that deserve equal play. Now that I think of it, these really should be classics. Who gets to decide which books get that designation anyway?

Comment if you've read this - I'd love to hear from Ellen Conford fans!
