About
Hi, I'm Heather E. Schwartz, founder of Quiet Girl Comedy!
As of 2026, Quiet Girl Comedy is at the beginning of a mission to produce inclusive and accessible entertainment for children and adults with disabilities. Shows include Mabel & Geffrey’s Music And Family Interest Affair, Heather’s Junk Drawer, and Love Yourself More, among others. This mission is funded in part by paid performances for corporations, schools, senior living communities, social groups, and faith-based organizations. I'm currently taking an equalities training provided by the Edinburgh Fringe Festival, and I’m seeking ways to learn more about how to design inclusive and accessible programs. Please get in touch if you’d like to help me on this journey!
As for my broader qualifications, highlights of my career as a writer and performer include solo shows at NYC’s The PIT and The Upright Citizen’s Brigade Theatre; writing my first Little Golden Book; and appearing as an author/expert on E! Entertainment’s True Hollywood Story. Since 2006, I've written hundreds of children’s books for publishers including Scholastic, Hachette Book Group, Random House Children’s Books, Mayo Clinic Press Kids, and Lerner Publishing Group, and brands including Disney, Sesame Street, TIME for Kids, Sports Illustrated Kids, Discovery Kids, The Jim Henson Company, and the Smithsonian. I've also led workshops for Girls Inc. of the Greater Capital Region, Hollins University’s Graduate Program in Children's Literature, and the Society for Children’s Book Authors and Illustrators 50th Anniversary Summer Writers Conference.
Thanks for taking the time to learn about me and Quiet Girl Comedy!

“Heather's upbeat, lively writing is engaging and provides accurate and well-researched information in ways that make readers want to keep turning the pages. An improviser should always work to make their partner look good. Heather always does, and she looks good herself. She’s funny, she’s smart, and she can sing. It’s a pleasure to be with her on stage." - Michael Burns, Artistic Director, The Mopco Improv Theatre
