Frequently Asked Questions

Q. Is Love Yourself More a research-based program?
A. Yes. I’ve been a nonfiction children’s author since 2006, researching and writing books on stress, decision-making, bullying, and resilience — including topics used in New York State SEL standards and character education frameworks.

Q. How is the show entertaining for kids?
A. This assembly is fully interactive. Students are encouraged to:
-
Answer questions
-
Move their bodies
-
Make sounds
-
Play pretend
-
Join a group sing-along
The energy keeps them laughing and learning at the same time.
Q. How is the show educational?
A. The learning is built right into the fun:
-
When students consider how they feel → they practice emotional awareness.
-
When they play pretend → they rehearse self-advocacy scripts.
-
When they sing together → they reinforce the message that self-kindness is their superpower.

Q. Do you visit schools year-round?
A. Yes! I visit schools during the academic year, and I’m also available for summer programs, camps, and library events.

Q. Our school is not in the Capital Region — can we still book the show?
A. Of course! I travel to schools throughout NY and beyond. Travel is simple to arrange, and I’ll walk you through everything when scheduling.

Q. Can you perform for organizations other than schools?
Absolutely! I also visit libraries, churches, and other community organizations. Every group is different, and I tailor the program to be engaging and age-appropriate.

Q. How does budgeting work?
I know every school, library, church, or community organization has different resources. We’ll work together to find a plan that fits your budget and makes the program possible for your group.
